1) Run to End Poverty
Jamil and Caitlin have been working hard to get the word out.  This past Saturday they were down at the farmer’s market promoting our fundraising efforts!  We are all getting very excited as this event approaches fast.

Here is how you can get involved:

Sign up for the Blue Nose marathon at  http:// www.bluenosemarathon.com/ EN/registration/

Sign up and read about R2EP at r2ep.ewb.ca. Our halifax site is r2ep.ewb.ca/halifax – This is where you would be able to track your donations to EWB

Check out and join the Facebook event – Run to End Poverty-Halifax

Very Important: Invite your friends and family to the run or to become team leaders

Most Importantly: Share your  campaign on the R2EP site by hitting share on Facebook, twitter, and google + buttons located on the site
Race Weekend: May 18-20

2) Global Engineering Conference Meeting

Now that we all have a bit of free time, consider helping out with Dal’s first ever Global Engineering Conference!  This is an ambitious project and we can always use another helping hand.  Alexis has laid out a plan with some of the things that need to get tackled this summer, so give her a shout if you want to help out!

For more information email alexismdunphy@gmail.com

3) Fundraising

GRILLED CHEESE!!! (maybe??)

When:  Friday night @ 9:00pm – 12:00am

Where: T-Room Bar on Sexton Campus

Alexis and Kevin have the supplies, but we’re not sure what the level of activity is at the T-Room over the summer.  I (Kevin) have emailed the operations guy there and am waiting to hear back.  Hopefully we can continue to go out and raise money for the chapter over the summer.  I will keep you all posted!

4) Regional Retreats

Check out EWB Canada’s regional retreats!  If you are in one of these areas over the summer, check them out!  You don’t have to be an executive, or even a member of EWB to participate, just enthusiasm and motivation to get involved!  This is a great way to get started with EWB, and a fantastic way to meet and network with the other student chapters across Canada!
